Second Half Espanyol 4-1 Malaga May 13 2018

The 2017/18 season has been a frustrating one for Espanyol and poor performances have led to an ambivalent atmosphere at the RCDE Stadium, but the Catalan club gave their supporters a performance to treasure over the summer months.

In their final home match of the campaign, they thrashed already-relegated Malaga 4-1, with three of the goals coming in the first half hour.

Gerard Moreno opened the scoring just seven minutes in, before fellow forwards Sergio Garcia and Leo Baptistao netted in the 26th and 29th minutes.

Although Adrian Gonzalez pulled one back for the Andalusian side six minutes before the break, Pablo Piatti polished off the win in the 78th minute as he won and then converted a penalty.

The three points mean that interim coach David Gallego has now won three and drawn one of his four matches.
